Hello there!

I found this site when searching the VIN of my SEC in google. It was very nice to find old photos of the car here. I bought it last year from Lithuania, just wanted to share that this car is still alive and is being fully restored. Had to clean up the work that was shown here on page 13

I thought maybe some of you might reckognize this car from 10 years in the past and could find this interesting.

I bought it last summer and wanted to enjoy it a bit before taking it all apart.





Almost killed myself, the right front brake caliper bolt came out and got caught in the wheel and stopped while driving 80km/h.





Then the EZL ignition module died, had to find a used one. Later the fan clutch went kaboom and destroyed the radiator.

I started gathering parts for restoration and upgrades. I will be adding air conditioning.





Night cruise, god the car is so sexy



The front and back fenders were totally destroyed, there was more fiberglass than metal. Had to order good used fenders from Ukraine.




There is a lot of damage on the body, the rear part has been in a slight accident and was repaired poorly. Some spots have more than 6mm of body filler.

Further disassembly. Every single part was removed, the shell is now on a rotiserrie and is being restored.



The fiberglass repair peeled off in one piece.













All of the undercoating was removed

This was completely eaten by rust. Created from scratch.

There is plenty of love. The price was right and I knew from the first second of seeing the car that it will require this amount of work and there were no surprises for me. The c126 has always been one of my dream cars, but I had never driven one. When I drove a couple of first meters I started laughing and said: this is the best car in the world

Thanks mate. Yes, I am from Riga. Not many, yet but I am sure I will meet more, as the MB community is not that large. Girts and Kim do not ring a bell.
